What is the summer survey?

Following a year of lockdowns, there has been a lot of talk about ‘catch up’ for children. Some people want kids to catch up on education, some want them to catch up on socialising and some just want them to catch up on having fun.

The one thing that many of these claims have in common is when this should happen… In the school holidays.

But what are children already doing in the school holidays? It turns out that, as a nation, we don’t know!

Maybe kids are already learning, or seeing their friends, or having fun. Or maybe they’re not.

So, we’re going to find out!

How will it work?

We’ll be asking the questions on Parent Ping – just like normal – so make sure you’ve downloaded the free app!

We will also show you the results of the previous days questions (just like normal) so you can see what everyone is up to!

BUT IF YOU WANT MORE…

You can also send us pictures about your summer. Not just the good stuff, but the everyday stuff too!

Simply submit the pictures via our private Facebook Group or by tagging us on Instagram.

What will we do with the data?

We will report the data back to YOU! Everyday you get to see what other parents answered the day before.

We will also write a weekly blog analysing trends and patterns in the data.  At the end of the summer we will write a report and share it with decision makers and parents.

We have a track record of having our research findings listened to by people who can do something about it… We were even featured in the Government’s Roadmap Out
of Lockdown.

And just in case you were wondering about the T&Cs, you should know that we take your data security very seriously. If you would like more information, you can read our Privacy Policy here.
